Backstreet Boys Are An R&B Group, and NOT Just A Teen Pop Group

Backstreet Boys aren't just another dancing and singing, cute-faced group out just to get the fame, fortune, and girls. They care about the music, and they care about getting the respect that they deserve. And they do have good music. They have sweet, soulful voices and lyrics that have been maturing ever since they were able to start writing. They haven't been writing all their songs, or playing instruments all the time, and that's part of the reason they don't get respect from everyone. But just because they haven't been doing it all the time, doesn't mean that they don't have the talent to do it. They have already proven that they have that talent, and in time they will use it more. They are getting closer to having an album written fully by them. Backstreet Boys shouldn't be compared to groups like New Kids On The Block, a group that was only in it for the fame, fortune, and girls. A group that didn't concentrate on their vocals, but rather just the entertainment part. Backstreet Boys should be compared to groups like Boyz II Men, Blackstreet, and Dru Hill.
The only real difference being the color of their skin, which shouldn't matter at all. These groups dance, at times show off their bodies, and sing love and party songs...all of which Backstreet Boys get mocked for. Boyz II Men, a group that many, including myself, consider the greatest R&B act, don't play their instruments. How is it that groups so similar to the Backstreet Boys be considered so musically superior to them?
